This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.

 

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

 

Widespread heavy rainfall and scattered thunderstorms, mainly south of Interstate 80, pose a flash flooding threat. There is a Moderate Risk (Level 3 out of 4) for excessive rainfall across northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois, and a Flood Watch has been issued for counties along and south of Highway 34 through 7PM. There is also a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe weather along and south of Highway 34. The primary threat is damaging winds, even though an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
