About Center for Severe Storm Research (C.S.S.R.)

Center for Severe Storm Research (C.S.S.R.) was established in 2000 in Van Buren County Iowa by volunteer SKYWARN Storm Spotters. We go out before, during and after a storm or Tornado has hit the area. We work alongside other storm spotters and emergency personal. We provide up to date weather information and safety guidelines from the National Weather Service. We also sale Weather Alert radios. Anyone over the age of 18 and is a resident of Van Buren County Iowa can join our team. We are trying to reestablish a date and time for public meetings. We are also in the process of branching out into other areas of the State.
